Legal Aid

Legal aid is a system of funding to help with the cost of legal advice for people who otherwise cannot afford it. It is not available to everyone or for all types of legal advice.

Whether or not you will be entitled to receive it will depend on the type of legal problem you have, your financial circumstances and whether you are likely to win your case.

In England and Wales, legal aid is administered by the Legal Aid Agency. View the Legal Aid Agency's website.

For Plymouth firms offering legal aid please view our find a solicitor page or use the search facility on the right.
