Dear Member

I hope you are all well with some freedom from the lockdown on the horizon.

Nuisance Calls

Sadly, there have been further reports of unpleasant calls to our firms.  I have received details of an incident in Plymouth which has been reported to the police and the following was sent to us from DASLS this week:

“You kindly contacted everyone on 3rd December about nuisance phone calls.  Unfortunately a member of my staff had an unpleasant call this afternoon, which has upset her,  and I wonder if the same person is up to their old tricks again. The report I received was:-

I received a really uncomfortable and inappropriate call this afternoon. The call came via reception from a man calling himself Alan John,. He requested to speak to me specifically. I couldn’t find him on SOS but thought he could be a referral from one of the Agents.

He proceeded to ask if I was currently working from home or the office, and then went onto ask what I was doing before making comments about my facial features. I can only assume from our website.

I am now concerned he may target other people in the firm.

Perhaps you could spread the word again?”

Past experience suggests that this will not be an isolated incidence, so please be ready to support anyone who has a similar experience.
