The Plymouth Law Society held its annual dinner on Friday, 2nd October and managed to raise an impressive £2,658.50 on the night. As is the tradition with the Plymouth Law Society, the charities were selected by this year’s President, Chris Hoile and they were the children’s cancer charity Hugs and PCIP (Promoting Children in Plymouth) which encourages justice for young people in the early lives.
The event was held at Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park and as well as a lavish dinner, the evening included plenty of activities such as caricature imaging and photo booths as well as a band that saw the evening through to the very end.
Annually, the Plymouth Law Society holds this dinner to support and raise funds for different chosen charities. This year’s President, Chris Hoile, is General Counsel at CDS Superstores and is the first-in-house Lawyer for The Range, along with the achievement of becoming the second-in-house Lawyer to become president of the society itself.
After the event Chris commented: “It was a lovely evening for the Plymouth Law Society, being hosted at Plymouth Argyle Football Club. We are thrilled by the outcome and success of the evening, with a huge thanks to the generosity shown by everyone that was present to make this an achievement, including our sponsors, partners, suppliers and attendees. These funds will help open up opportunities and support those who need it the most, so thank you all.”
In addition, congratulations were in order for Sophie Caroll from Nash&Co who won the Junior Lawyer of the Year Award and Danielle Nichols from CWC who won the Heads and Tails competition on the night.
A huge thank you to all the official partners, that included Sirius Partners, Atwell Martin, ProConvey, Metro Bank, Insight6, Sanderson Weatherall, Acronyms, Westcotts, Fuel, Marsh, and Peak Costs, without their contributions, the event would not be possible.
